Botox used to treat tennis elbow The wrinkle fighter Botox may serve up a new therapy for the chronic pain of "tennis elbow," a new study suggests. Researchers in Hong Kong found that among 60 adults with stubborn cases of tennis elbow, a single injection of botulinum toxin type A relieved some patients' pain for up to three months. Philippines senator attempts to regulate cosmetic surgery Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago on Saturday denounced the practice of performing cosmetic surgery outside of hospitals by persons not licensed by the Professional Regulatory Commission. The bill also seeks to regulate minor cosmetic procedures that require only local anesthesia, like cosmetic tattooing, Botox injections and collagen injections. Lunchtime nosejobs make news Not every nose needs an extreme makeover. And the growth of such 'lunchtime cosmetic treatments' as Botox and light chemical peels have changed the way many people now think about fixing these imperfections.
